MONDAY 5TH JULY - CLASS 13

Monday 5th July

9.00 – 10.00 Log into Teams.

12.45 – 1.15 Log into Teams.

2.45 – 3.00 – Log into Teams.

Morning work

Daily Dashboard – find the right day and complete the tasks.

English – Rose Blanche writing. Can I explore a page from Rose Blanche? Look carefully at the illustration taken from later in the book when the war has begun. Answer the questions in as much detail as you can using evidence from the illustration to support your answers. Use the model paragraph and change the vocabulary to describe the scene in your own words.

Arithmetic – 10 minute arithmetic. Set yourself a timer. I have included the answers so you can mark at the end. As we do in school, identify the easy questions first and look for the tricky ones that might trip you up or take a bit longer. By doing this you can manage your time most effectively.

Maths – Can I calculate mean? Challenge time today! Calculate the mean of different sets of numbers on the sheet then circle the answer in the grid. I’ve included the answers so you can mark your own at the end but no cheating, please!

Reading – Answer the questions based on the extract taken from ‘The Wizard of Oz.’

Afternoon work

History – We learned about some of the reasons for WW2 last week when we began to explore the book, Rose Blanche. This lesson teaches you in more detail about Hitler’s rise to power in the 1920s and 1930s. It links with the text we are studying in English.

Geography – Click on this link for a lesson about climate change and how the atmosphere is important for life on Earth. It links to our guided reading recently all about greenhouse gases.
