Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Cledford Primary & Nursery Academy
At Cledford Primary & Nursery Academy, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is a top priority. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are committed to acting in the best interests of every child.
We work closely with children, families, and external agencies to identify and respond to any concerns quickly and effectively. All staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse or neglect and follow clear procedures for reporting concerns to the appropriate services.
We are committed to ensuring that:
Every child is treated equally and has the right to feel safe and protected.
Staff respond promptly to concerns or disclosures.
Pupils and staff receive appropriate support.
All staff follow a clear Code of Conduct.
Early Help is offered where needed, with timely assessments and referrals.
Safeguarding concerns are often complex and overlapping; staff are trained to recognise this.
Our safeguarding approach aligns with the latest statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education and the policies of Cheshire East Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (CESCP).
The Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy is available on our website under the ‘Policies’ section, or in hard copy from the school office.
