Stone Age Boy
We have been reading the book 'Stone Age Boy' in Year 4 this term. So far we have written setting descriptions and we have been taking on the role of the main characters in the story.
When I woke up, I suddenly found myself in a dark, colossal cave. I looked around. I could see rain water rolling down the cave walls, falling into a puddle of thick mud. There was only a bit of daylight: the gloomy fog was blocking the beaming sunlight. As I stumbled, I eventually found myself in a field, surrounded by fresh, green grass. Tired and confused, I trudged along and, with an enormous sigh, I started to discover this new place. High above me, I saw marshmellow clouds floating in the air and endless mountains covering the sky.

When I woke up, I was in darkenss. I realised I wasn't in the forest any more. Suddenly, I noticed daylight in the distance. Standing up, I went towards it, dodging the chipped rocks. The cave was dusty: the floor was covered in fragments of rock. Outside, the fresh, green grass swayed in the whistling wind. Feeling small, I kept walking. The hills towered over me and a shiver spread through my body as the breeze swept past. When I arrived at camp, I looked up from the sand and dirt and saw the sun setting in the marbled sky. The gorgeous smell of warm stew greeted me.

Mysteriously, I woke and found myself lost in a dark and gloomy place. I could see light in the distance breaking through the rough rocks. It led me out into a...a strange world! There was nothing but grass and trees, hills and mountains. The sky was still blue but something wasn't right... In the distance I could see something. It was moving. At first I wasn't sure if I should go and see what it was however eventually I decided I should be brave. I went closer. It was a girl. A strange looking girl. She didn't wear trainers like me. It lokked like she was wearing animal skin. Could it be? No! It couldn't! Was I in the STONE AGE?
