Class 10 - Heart and Circulatory System

After starting the novel 'Pig Heart Boy', Class 10 have begun to learn about the heart and circulatory system this week. The children became blood cells in the hall, passing through valves and collecting oxygen from the lungs to take around the body! We learnt how important valves are in preventing the blood from flowing in the wrong direction and were surprised to discover that the heart is roughly the same size as a clenched fist.
