First Aid & Medical Care

Minor injuries are dealt with in school; we have a team of fully trained first aiders across the school.

Please ensure that your child's details are kept up to date and that school has your latest home, work and mobile telephone numbers.

If a child is seriously ill or injuried, and no parent or relative can be contacted, then medical advice will be sought and the ambulance service used if necessary.

If there is a need to administer medication in school (where the medication is to be taken 4 times, or more, per day) an 'administering medication' form must be completed. Only prescribed medicines may be administered; these should be clearly labelled with the child's full name and handed to the school office.

All asthma medication is kept in the child's classroom; the inhaler should be clearly labelled with the child's name. We would be grateful if your child keeps their inhaler in school at all times.
