Y3 / 4 Summer Term

Year 3/4 have had a busy start to the summer term. We have explored the school environment on our science sound walk, travelled round Europe in geography, maturely discussed the hardships of refugees and we have been bursting with colour in French. And who can forget the amazing start to our PE lessons? This term is focused on dance and year 3/4 have shown they have the moves as does our wonderful sports coach who amazed the children with her breaking dancing.

Year 3/4's topic this term is based around the Greeks. We have looked at its place in history and explored daily life. Many year 3/4 girls were not impressed with how girls were treated in ancient Greece whilst some of the boys were ready to join the Spartan army!

This week marked the start of year 4's violin lessons. They will be having weekly lessons over the next 10 weeks. The children were introduced to the instrument and began by plucking the strings to play it. We look forward to the upcoming weeks as we learn more on this wonderful instrument. Stay tuned!
