Y3 & Y4 Swimming and Design & Technology - Chocolate!

Year 3 and 4 have certainly had a busy start to this half term. They started their swimming lessons last week; this has been a huge success. For some children, it was their first swimming lesson and they approached it with positivity and courage. Many children have successfully swum 25m and staff are impressed with the determination and resilience of all the children.

This week was the start of our design and technology project. The children are working towards making their own chocolate bar, designed by them. Obviously, market research is very important so the children were ready and raring to taste different chocolate so that they could decide which chocolate to use in their bar. Dark chocolate was not a popular choice! Once the children knew which chocolate they would like to use, it was time to design their bar: filling, name and wrapper design. We are all excited to see (and taste!) the creations.
